That is true. In fact Carbon fibre is said to be stronger than steel of similar thickness.

I bet the manufacturers are using the trial and error method. Come to think of it, initially the maximum feed override was 120% and they thought of increasing it to 200% to see if it works. I am thinking of building a machine with 0% to 100% feed override, it is still a vague idea though.
