Looking for a Motion Controller

Postby Lambot909 » Sun May 01, 2016 8:27 am

I am planning to build my own 4axis CNC machine and want to use Leadshine ESD808 drivers. Easy servo I guess. I however don’t know the board to use.

If you want support for more than 4 axis, then mk2 and mk3 is good. Mk2/4 is however suitable for anyone who doesn’t want to go beyond 4 axis.

In this case you are comparing between motion controllers and this will depend on the number of I/O pins that you need. Do you also need SD card support or mpg?

The number of pins isn’t that important in my case.

Then mk2/4 is the best option for you.

Badog has got a new CNC controller that has 5 USB ports plus a 5GB memory. I think it will serve your needs.

Talking of MPG, what is more preferable between mpg and jogging keyboard in terms of accuracy?

Some people prefer both. However, whereas jogging keyboard is a must, mpg is always an optional extra

Does it control 4 axes equipments? Will it be compatible with the easy servo?
